My Approach

Evidence-informed. Personalized. Root-cause focused.

Your health is complex. Your care shouldn’t feel that way.

Perimenopause and menopause aren’t simply about hormones.

Healthy aging isn’t simply about adding years to your life. It’s about protecting your brain, heart, bones, muscles, metabolism, and independence so you can continue doing the things you love for years to come.

How you feel is influenced by many interconnected factors, including hormones, sleep, stress, nutrition, movement, digestion, blood sugar, brain health, cardiovascular health, and nervous system regulation.

Today’s always-connected world can also affect our health. Chronic digital overload, constant notifications, excessive screen time, and information overload can contribute to stress, anxiety, poor sleep, reduced focus, and nervous system dysregulation.

My role is to help you understand how these pieces fit together and develop a personalized plan that supports both your symptoms today and your long-term health.

While women’s midlife health is a major focus of my practice, I also provide naturopathic care for the whole family; from infancy and childhood through adulthood and the senior years.

What Working Together Looks Like

Rather than jumping from symptom to symptom, we follow a structured process designed to understand the bigger picture, address the foundations of health, personalize your treatment, and support your long-term well-being.

Your 4-Phase Journey

1. CLARITY

Understand your unique health picture.

We look beyond individual symptoms to understand your health history, hormones, nutrition, digestion, sleep, stress, lifestyle, and metabolic health, and to identify the factors that may be contributing to how you feel.

2. FOUNDATION

Build the building blocks for better health.

We address the fundamentals that influence how you feel and function, including nutrition, sleep, stress, movement, digestion, blood sugar balance, and nutrient status.

3. TRANSFORM

Personalize your path forward.

With a clearer understanding of your needs, we develop and refine your treatment plan. Depending on your individual needs, this may include nutrition, lifestyle strategies, targeted supplementation, herbal medicine, acupuncture, laboratory testing, nervous system support, and, when appropriate, body-identical hormone therapy.

4. LONGEVITY

Support lasting health.

The goal is more than feeling better today. We focus on strategies that support healthy aging, metabolic health, hormones, energy, sleep, and resilience so you can maintain your progress and thrive for years to come.

Healthcare Shouldn’t Feel Rushed

One of the greatest advantages of naturopathic care is time.

Appointments are designed to understand the whole picture; not just one symptom.

We’ll discuss:

  • Your health history
  • Family history
  • Current symptoms
  • Lifestyle
  • Nutrition
  • Sleep
  • Stress
  • Movement
  • Medications
  • Previous lab work
  • Health goals

During in-person appointments, I may perform a physical examination tailored to your health concerns and goals. This may include measuring your blood pressure and heart rate, a Traditional Chinese Medicine tongue and pulse assessment, and other focused examinations, such as an abdominal assessment or other system-specific evaluations when clinically appropriate.

Lasting health requires understanding the person, not just the diagnosis.

An Integrative Approach to Your Health

Your treatment plan is individualized to your symptoms, medical history, goals, preferences, and the best available evidence.

My recommendations may include:

  • Nutrition counselling
  • Lifestyle medicine
  • Exercise guidance
  • Sleep optimization
  • Stress management
  • Nervous system regulation
  • Digital wellness strategies
  • HeartMath® heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback
  • Evidence-informed supplements
  • Herbal medicine
  • Laboratory testing
  • Body-identical hormone therapy, when appropriate
  • An alternative prescription medication for hypothyroidism
  • Acupuncture
  • B12 injections
  • Nebulized glutathione

I don’t believe every patient needs every treatment.

Instead, I focus on the approaches that are most appropriate for you and that can realistically fit into your life.

Education Is Treatment

One of the things patients tell me most often is:

“No one has ever explained it to me like that.”

Understanding why you’re experiencing symptoms helps you make confident decisions about your health.

I believe you deserve clear explanations, not confusing medical jargon or endless supplement recommendations.

My goal is to help you understand your body, your lab results, and the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms so you can make informed decisions about your health.

My Philosophy

I don’t chase symptoms.

Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I look at the bigger picture.

I ask questions like:

  • Why has your sleep changed?
  • What’s contributing to your anxiety?
  • Could hormone changes be affecting your metabolism?
  • How are stress and nervous system health influencing your symptoms?
  • What role might nutrition, movement, digestion, or lifestyle be playing?

I recognize that many modern health challenges are influenced not only by nutrition and hormones, but by how we live.

Sleep habits, chronic stress, movement, time in nature, social connection, and our relationship with technology can all influence our health and well-being.

Together, we’ll identify what may be driving your symptoms and create realistic, sustainable strategies to help you feel better.

My Areas of Focus

While I care for a wide range of health concerns and patients at every stage of life, my practice has a special focus on:

  • Perimenopause & menopause
  • Hormone therapy
  • Sleep
  • Stress & burnout
  • Metabolic health
  • Cardiovascular health
  • Digestive health
  • Immune health
  • Skin health
  • Healthy aging

My goal is to bring together the tools that are most appropriate for you, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
