About Dr. Lisa

I discovered naturopathic medicine while I was a studying human biology at the University of Waterloo where I graduated with an Honours, Bachelor of Science degree from their co-op program. My health was suffering greatly due to all the late nights, lack of sleep, poor eating habits, and a coffee addiction. I needed to improve my health but I didn’t want to mask my symptoms; I wanted to treat the root cause and work with nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, lifestyle counseling, Asian medicine, acupuncture, and physical medicine.  I traveled around North America, working at various research labs before I found my calling with naturopathic medicine.

Studying cystic fibrosis at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, cancer at the BC Cancer Agency, and atherosclerosis at Notre Dame University gave me the foundation to unite scientific research with naturopathic therapies and philosophy. I completed the four-year program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2007, and I have been offering my patients a holistic approach to healing ever since.

In addition to practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor, I have acted as a Consulting Medical Advisor to one of the largest North American distributors of natural health products where I educated and trained other practitioners. I have been a regular keynote speaker for wellness campaigns with TELUS and other major corporations where I promoted and educated employees about naturopathic medicine. I was also the on-site Naturopathic Doctor for TELUS and headed various wellness initiatives for their employees for over 7 years.

My goal is to uncover and treat the root cause of your health concerns; not suppress the symptoms.  I take the time to really listen to you and my treatment plans are individualized for maximal results. I treat all ages, from infants to seniors and believe that naturopathy can benefit the whole family.

Let’s work together to help you understand your body and what you need to do in order to reach your health goals. I don’t believe in over-prescribing supplements and herbs; I only prescribe what I feel is absolutely necessary. I strongly believe that lifestyle and dietary changes are the foundations to a successful treatment plan. So be prepared to make some changes!

I look forward to guiding you on your path to optimal health!
